Governor Maimala Buni of Yobe State has pledged to assent to the bill for the establishment of Agency for Persons Living with Disabilities in the state.

He gave the assurance in his office in Damaturu when he received APC Zonal Leader Northeast, Muhammad Abba Isa.
According to Governor Buni, the establishment of the agency will go a long way in improving the livelihood of the disabled persons as well as other vulnerable groups in the society.
In his vote of thanks, Isa commended the Governor for carrying everybody along irrespective of physical disability.
“Today I have the rare privilege and opportunity to meet with my leader, my mentor, master of inclusion, digital and intellectually mobile Governor of Yobe State, His Excellency Mai Mala Buni,” he said.
“The meeting which held at the governor’s office enabled us to discuss issues bordering on welfare of Persons Living with Disabilities.
“As a leader of persons with disabilities in the state and the entire zone at large, I share with His Excellency’s eminent concern of the community with specific interest on Yobe state’s persons with disabilities bill which has just passed the second reading at the State House of Assembly,” he added.
“On other social protection intervention and humanitarian service, I convey to His Excellency’s the gratitude and appreciation of persons with disabilities in the state for considering them at every stage of distribution,” he said.
