BUK imposes compulsory use of facemask

The management of Bayero University, Kano, have moved to impose compulsory use of facemask within the premises of the institution. 

The move is part of the safety measures the institution is taking to curtail to the spread of the disease.
The announcement of the new directive is contained in a statement issued by the Secretary Information and Publication Division, Bayero University, Kano, Lamara Garba, on Wednesday.
The statement reads: “As part of the  measures to ensure the safety of all and the need to curtail the Corona Virus disease (COVID-19), as advised by medical experts, the management of the university has resolved to imposed the compulsory use of face masks by everyone within the University premises, including staff, students and visitors to the campuses of the university.”
The management of the university has also authorized security personnel of the institution to ensure  full compliance.
