Bichi Emirate to support community policing

In an effort to improve the relationships between the community and security agencies in Bichi Emirate, the Emir, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero has expressed his Council’s readiness to support and cooperate with the Search Light Community Policing to promote security awareness towards clearing all criminal activities in the domain.


The emir gave the assurance while receiving a delegation from Search Light Initiative Community for Policing in his palace during a courtesy call recently.

Alhaji Bayero who described the importance of security in maintaining law and order in any country, said that the move by the organisation came at the right time of the present insecurity bedevilling the nation, therefore the security agencies are in need of serious assistance to curve the menace.

In his speech, Director of Search Light, Ahaji Muhammad Sani El-Mansur said they were at the palace to pay solidarity visit and intimate the emir on activities of the organisation, adding that the security agencies alone could not shoulder the responsibilities of security challenges across the country.

Meanwhile, the Emir of Bichi has hailed Optimum Global Consultant on its commitment to sensitising traditional rulers on issues relating to security.

Speaking earlier, the leader of the delegation, Detective Aukadu Bala Durumin Iya had informed the emir that the organisation was at the emirate to organise a seminar to village and ward heads on the importance of security and its significant in the society.

In another development, the emir has approved the turbaning of Mallam Bello Bakarari as Village Head of Bakarari Village, Makoda Local Government Area.

He charged him to be law abiding citizen and promote peace among the people of the community.
