‘’I was brought up to stand by the truth and this is how I have always been.’’ Aisha Buhari
One thing about Wife of the president she has a zero tolerance for injustice and always bares her mind out even if what said will not favor anybody but she is not trepidation to say it’s out. Having had a low key life as the Wife of the president watching things on sidelines but that doesn’t stop her from voicing her mind on certain issues affecting the generality in which most cases not good turn to the administration, Wife of the president broke her silent when the masses cried loudly on the ways things went wrongly and the way so called de-factor president behind the power and co maneuvering the administration in their own selfish ways.
Its apt to quote her interview with BBC London, when casts her fear over the way things moving ‘’a lot of people are expressing their unhappiness over the way few acquaintance of the president that have hijacked power while neglecting people that works for his success. I am not government official, but in my opinion as a women and mother, I need to state that my position was a result of my sense of justice and not confrontation or disrespect. “as we are all aware, Nigerians elected this administration based on the trust and confidence they have on my husband; I, therefore, feel that we are here to serve Nigeria to the best of our ability.
Firstly, it was people that brought the government into power more than half of those people are not appointed into the government. Those appointed by the administration are not politicians, but were brought into the government. They don’t even know what we said we want and what we don’t during the campaign.
Is this not true and many old Buharist agreed with Wife of the president point of view, as speaks the minds of them especially those that are with him since 2002, long-time friends were too scared to speak out or barred from accessing him.
While these political appointees and party stalwarts were telling Buhari that he was the best thing that happened since the Amalgamation and Out of the people he has appointed, take 50, 45 of them I don’t know them. Perhaps he doesn’t know them too.
To many the interview was considered too critical of her husband’s administration but to her convictions was based on sense of justice and was not meant to be confrontational or a sign of disrespect, said “I need to state that my position was a result of my sense of justice and not confrontation or disrespect. I was brought up to stand by the truth and this is how I have always been. “As we are all aware, Nigerians elected this administration based on the trust and confidence they have on my husband; I, therefore, feel that we are here to serve Nigeria to the best of our ability. At the heated debate of the issue President Buhari tried to deflect the bombshell by joking in an interview (with German Chancellor Angela Merkel sitting by his side), that his wife should be forgiven for venturing outside her place in “the other room.
Last year, the wife of the President, Aisha Bihari also paid an unscheduled visit to the State House Clinic in Abuja where she attacked the management of hospital for their inability to provide basic drugs and equipment despite billions of naira proposed for the hospital in successive budgets. Supporting her attacked on the management on the State House Clinic said “I was sick as well, they advised me to take the first flight out to London, and I refused to go. I said I must be treated in Nigeria because there is a budget for an assigned clinic to take care of us. “If the budget is N100 million, we need to know how the budget is spent. Along the line, I insisted they call Aso Clinic to find out if the X-ray machine is working, they said it is not working. They didn’t know I am the one that was supposed to be in that hospital at that very time. “I had to go to a hospital that was established by foreigners in and out 100 percent. What does that mean? “So, I think is high time for us to do the right thing. If something like this can happen to me, no need for me to ask the governors’ wives what is happening in their states
Mrs. Buhari voicing her anger on the state of Villa clinic at the opening of a two-day stakeholders meeting on Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, Adolescent Health and Nutrition organized by her pet project, Future Assured in Abuja said the ongoing renovations at the clinic was baseless because the hospital lacked the equipments to save lives.
“Before I commence my speech, I’ll like to be realistic to say a few words concerning health in Nigeria and health delivery system in Nigeria. It’s very poor, sorry to say that is she lying. I am happy the MD of Aso Clinic is here, is he around? as you are all aware for the last six months, Nigeria wasn’t stable because of my husband’s ill health; we thank God he has fully recovered now. “If somebody like Mr. President can spend several months outside Nigeria, then you wonder what will happen to a common man on the street in Nigeria.
As bold and fearless wife of the president Hajiya Aisha Buhari has lambasted the All Progressive congress (APC) for its undemocratic principles. In a tweet on her official handle said, APC denied many aspirants the opportunity to earn the party’ tickets after purchasing its expensive forms. “It is disheartening to note that some aspirants used their hard earned money to purchase nomination forms, got screened, cleared and campaigned vigorously yet found their names omitted on primary election day, these forms were bought at exorbitant prices.
But in all Aisha’s outburst against the administration was a genuine expression of concern about her straying husband as it was not a personal cry for freedom from monstrously powerful people in the Presidency who were wrapping her husband around their small fingers. In even though in our African culture its wrong but she was saying truth and nothing but the truth, but She was saying the fact as we are past approaching the 2019 elections am sure she counsel him in other room without heed. And not knowing that his popularity among his cultish followers is past diminishing especially in the North West due to the administration policies which masses each passing day battling for survival. Buhari was at the risk of a rebellion in his own base for neglecting those (masses) that had been his glue since 2002 for lack of respect and sense of belonging to them by those in the administration.
To be honest opposition party presidential candidate is getting ground in Kano state and other part of northern states and its creepy situation even die hard Buharist rethinking of continue working toward him due to neglect and lack of respect from administration officials. Because those that has been appointed are only supporting one rascal person using electronics medium insulting anyone he wish Kai even the sitting governor is not immune from his rascality. To add salt to injury most of his officials from Kano state are not accessible and those that accessible are arrogantly told people that they are not politicians and cannot help because our own former lion as generality perceived is no longer the same lion we though he is. Where is she got it wrong when voicing her fear about her husband and the administration? Show me the woman in her shoes that would not get mad with the way things moving where as our perceived Lion King is encircled by jackals and hyenas – and even rodent’s one that not fighting for the administration came onboard are having a field day.
