Batagarawa constitutes committee on Covid-19

The head of Batagarawa Local Government Council in Katsina State, Hajiya Umma Abdullahi Mahuta has called on the people of the nation to stop politicizing the issue of coronavirus disease.
Mahuta, who spoke with The Triumph in an exclusive interview, lamented on the way some people in the country are politicizing the issue for selfish interest.
“It is unfortunate that despite current happening around the world, especially on coronavirus, some Nigerians are politicizing effort by the federal, state and local governments on the disease.
She said Covid-19 has no boundary or religion but a disease that can be contacted by any individual.
“We should appreciate effort by government in tackling coronavirus disease rather than condemning measures taken in tackling the disease,” Mahuta said.
Hajiya Mahuta, who is Gimbiyar Malumfashi said: “Today, what our country needs is prayer to get out of the current pandemic so as to move forward.”
She commended measures taken by federal and state governments in dealing with the disease.
She said Batagarawa, her council has set up a committee on coronavirus to complement effort of the state government.
