Bandit attacks: Lawmaker fetes constituents

A member of Katsina State House of Assembly, Engr. Dalhatu Tafoki (APC), has distributed food items and cash assistance to over 3,000 victims of bandit attacks.
The food items include bags of rice and maize to the victims currently taking refuge at Model Primary Schools in Faskari area.
Tafoki, who is the deputy speaker of the House, and member representing Faskari Constituency, said the distribution of the food items and cash assistance is to alleviate suffering of the victims.
Represented by Alhaji Abdullahi Bature, Tafoki condemned the attack on the victims describing it as unfortunate.
He said as representative of the people, he will continue to work with executive to end the attacks in the area.
Tafoki called on the people of the area to continue to provide useful information on the hideout of criminals to security agents.
“We call on people of the state to cooperate with security agents and assist them with useful information to carry out their duty.
He said already, the assembly has deliberated on the insecurity issue and forward its recommendation to executive on how to end insecurity problem.
Tafoki however commended federal government for taking measures to end the problem.
