Baka wants campaign against HIV prioritised

The newly-appointed Executive Secretary Kaduna State Aids Control Agency, KADSACA, Dr. Isah Shadow Baka has advised the government to prioritise campaign against HIV.
Speaking in exclusive interview with The Triumph in Kaduna over the week, Dr. Shadow described that the disease is ravaging the society, while emphasising the need for collaborative efforts toward tackling the menace of HIV/AIDS scourge.
The Executive Secretary advised people to always go for HIV/AIDS test to know their status, stressing that this will also help against the spread of the deadly disease.
He appealed to the media to continue with the enlightenment campaign to educate the public on the dangers and prevention of the deadly virus.
To the staff of KADSACA, Dr. Baka said the task before them towards reducing the HIV/AIDS scourge in state is enormous.
He, however, enjoined people living with HIV/AIDS not to relent in seeking medication, as well as advice from medical experts on how to control the disease, but be prayerful and adhere strictly to doctors’ instructions on medication.
Dr. Baka charged the entire staff of the agency to work as a team to help reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS in Kaduna State, while calling for effective and continued partnership between KADSACA and other organizations to rid the society of the deadly disease.
