Many people have carved a niche for themselves due to several efforts they put in serving humanity. That is, they have distinguished themselves in their various fields of human endeavors through dint of hard work, sacrifice and devotion to pursuance of services that will have direct bearing on the lives of the citizens of their domains.

Sometime, they extend such services to community/ies beyond their own as proven by an example of many dedicated individuals who have been doing well and always trying to see ways possible or maximize any available avenue to make great impact on the living standard of the dwellers of a particular place. By so doing, they are bequeathing a legacy that will remain indelible in history.

Commoners have now been given an opportunity of heaving a sigh of great relief through such magnanimous gestures from philanthropists who voluntarily take reliefs to the doorsteps of the less privileged.

These and many more services geared towards life improvement could be said to be quite rewarding and at the same time building confidence in the beneficiaries who may have never dreamt of enjoying the new lease of life bequeathed to them by the donors.

Some donors do not care about what they spend when it comes to rendering services in the belief that such services are great, and quite needed to transform the society for the better.

Indeed, the reward of such philanthropists may not only be in the heaven, but also right from this world. A lot of bodies, agencies, institutions and groups do recognize such services and award or confer an investiture or merit on the initiators of the services being committed to serve rather than being served.

We in Kano Concern Forum, wish to acknowledge that recently one of the indigenes of the state has made name as he joined other personalities in the country to receive an award of excellence for his meritorious services to humanity.

This person is no other than the Managing Director of the state Water Board, Engr. Garba Ahmad Kofar Wambai.

It could be recalled that Engr. Kofar Wambai has recently bagged an honourary doctorate degree from the world’s best university, the American Europeans University, held at the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja to which we joined rest of the world, especially those in the state, the nation and Africa in congratulating the recipient for the honour done to him by that university.

Engr. Kofar Wambai’s promotion to a Doctorate Degree did not come as a surprise following his zeal and commitment to serve his community or the nation at large. The cap really fitted him. He deserved the award because of his high level of education, dedication and commitment to rendering selfless service to humanity.

He has been doing it since before his appointment as the Managing Director of the board. He is always in support of people who ever come for an aid from him.

His appointment was conferred on him by the state governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and it is apt to mention that his choice into the position at the board by the governor was a right decision at the right time and on a right person.

Wherever he happens to be, Engr. Kofar Wambai uses the opportunity to always assist people. This is just like borrowing a leaf from Governor Ganduje, the Khadimul Islam, who is a servant to the people of the state. The governor runs various empowerment programmes which result in reducing or eradicating poverty across the state.

Dr. Kofar Wambai is a grass root politician and hard working person who made good and visible achievements at the board. He has gone clean mind with good background.

He commits himself to supporting the development agenda of Governor Ganduje. He supports youths in various aspects. He has a history of good leadership, hard work, and dedication and been a truth worthy person.

Once again, congratulations!
