Aliyu urges Alternative Medicine Association to unite 

Kano State Government has called on Alternative and Complementary Medicine Practitioners Association of Nigeria, Kano State Branch to unite themselves for effective safety and efficient service delivery.


The Executive Secretary Private Health Institution Management Agency (PHIMA) Dr. Tijjani Usman Aliyu made the call while receiving the association’s members on a courtesy visit to his office.


Dr. Usman who expressed appreciation for the orderly manner the association is presenting itself, urging them to liaise with the agency in order to key into the global best practices for improvement and accuracy of their products.


He said the present administration is highly committed to supervising and sanitising any product or medicine as well as private health institutions in the state to ensure they are genuinely registered with the agency and certified before they are allowed to operate.


Dr. Aliyu further explained that the government of today is no longer a business as usual henceforth it would not condone any act of insubordination or incompetency in health related issues.


Earlier in his remark, the Chairman of the association Malam Adamu Bello had said they were in the office to update him about their activities and to seek for collaboration with the agency for effective healthcare delivery in the State.

He pledged to abide by all the rules and regulations given by the agency and assured that all the members would register with the agency including Islamic Medicine Practitioners for better working relation, according to the spokesman of the agency, Ismail Garba Gwammaja.
