AD-COHST urges own graduates to volunteer for Kano 

 

 

The Management of Aminu Dabo College of Heath, Science and Technology (AD-COHST) has called on all past and recent graduates of the institution who are willing to serve as volunteers in the fight against the spread and containment of COVID-19 pandemic in Kano State to come forward and register for the programme.

 

A statement by the Provost of the College, Hamza Garba explained that the call was in response to the recent announcement issued by the Kano State Government to complement efforts in curtailing the spread of Corona virus.

 

According to the statement, the volunteers required are health professionals including Community Health Extension Workers (CHEW), Junior Community Health Extension Workers (JCHEW), Medical Laboratory Technicians, Pharmacy Technicians and Environmental Health Officers

 

The statement added that registration and screening of the volunteers will commence between Wednesday, 1st of April to Friday, 3rd April, 2020 by 10am daily at Muhammadu Buhari Specialist Hospital, Giginyu, Kano.

 

Interested graduates of the College from the years 2017, 2018 and 2019 academic sessions who wish to join the volunteers are required to report tomorrow and register their names at the College premises for onward passage to the State Ministry of Health for further actions.

 

It could be recalled AD-COHST since inception in 2016 had so par succeeded in graduating over 425 students from various fields of health professional programmes who passed their National Examinations with flying colours and got licences to practice from their respective Regulatory Councils and Boards in the country.
