34th Bauchi Musabaqah ends in Ningi

Malam Jabir Abdurrahman from Katagum Local Government Area of Bauchi State has emerged victorious in the male category of the just-concluded 34th edition of the Bauchi State Qur’anic Recitation Competition (Musabaqah).
In the female category, Malama Rashida Abdulkadir from Misau Local Government Area won the first position in 60 hizbs with Tafsir category respectively.
The winners who were turbaned by the Chairman of the occasion, Emir of Ningi, Alhaji Yunusa Muhammad Danyaya at the colourful ceremony held at the Ningi Emirate Council, advised them to strive towards achieving similar success during the National Qur’anic
Recitation Competition scheduled for Lagos State this year.
The Emir said his emirate would continue to support and encourage memorisation and recitation of the Glorious Qur’an and lauded the
organisers and initiators of the competition for the fairness and justice they exhibited in the conduct of the competition.
Speaking at the occasion, the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Sulaimanu Adamu who was the farther of the day, expressed delight with the financial and moral support the state government is giving to the annual event and wished the tempo will be maintained.
Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad while closing the weeklong Musabaqah, congratulated the Qur’anic recitation competition committee, judges, participants, officials of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and other stakeholders for the successful conduct of the event.
Senator Muhammad reiterated his commitment to uplifting religious affairs in the state.
