3 abducted Plateau indigenes: Senator calls for their release

A call for the release of abduction of three citizens of the nation from Plateau State being held hostage by Boko Haram has been made.
Senator Istifanus D. Gyang of Plateau North Senatorial District and deputy chairman, Senate Committee on Defence. who made the call, expressed sadness at the situation.
Among those abducted are 20-year-old Lilian Daniel Gyang, a 100 Level Student of Zoology, University of Maiduguri, who hails from Foron District, B/Ladi Local Government Area, abducted by Boko Haram on Thursday, January 9, 2020 on her way for resumption at a location close to Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.
He also noted that the ugly development comes on the heels of an earlier one, the abduction of Jennifer Ukambong Samuel, 26, a health worker from Makoli village in Gashish District of the same local government area along Monguno-Maiduguri Road on December 22, 2019.
Also another victim being held hostage by Boko Haram from the state is Abdulhamid Bashir, a health worker from Kanam Local Government Area.
Senator Gyang, appealed to government and the international community to quickly intervene and hasten the release and safe return of the abductees.
