2021 LGA election: KANSIEC commences preparation -Prof. Sheka

The chairman of Kano State Independent Electoral Commission (KANSIEC), Prof. Garba Ibrahim Sheka has pledged to carry all political parties along in the process of the commission’s forth coming 2021 local government elections.
Prof. Sheka made the pledge while speaking to executive members of Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) who paid him a courtesy visit in his office.
The chairman pointed out that all necessary arrangement for the conduct of the election is in the pipe line, adding that the commission was making an effort to ensure hitch-free and fair election.
He added that the negative experience by the commission for the delay of working materials during the last 2018 election has also been taking care of, soliciting for the citizens and organization’s support and cooperation in order to achieve the set objectives of the commission.
Speaking earlier, the state chairman of IPAC, Isa Nuhu Isa said the purpose of the visit was to formally introduce themselves to the commission as the caretaker executives as well as to solicit for the commission’s support and cooperation in its activities.
The chairman also assured of their continuous support to the commission in an effort to achieve the desired goal, as disclosed by the commission’s spokesman, Dahiru Lawan Kofar Wambai in a statement he made available to The Triumph.
