2019 elections: Zamfara NRM flags off guber campaign


As Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) lifted campaign for 2019 general elections, the Zamfara State chapter of the National Rescue Movement (NRM) party, has flagged off its gubernatorial campaign, vowing to improve the living condition of the people of the state.

The party’s governorship candidate, Senator Saidu Muhammad Dansadau, who was speaking to our reporter in an interview after flagging off his campaign at the Gusau Ariel Plane Ground, said the issue of security would be addressed.

Senator Dansadau further gave a blueprint of his administration if elected, saying that agriculture, security, economy and social development would receive giant stride.

He assured that people in the state would see peace and sleep with one eye if given the chance.

Dansadau lamented that the state was at the tail end of business activities compared with all the 36 states of the country.

“I assure you that I will bring back the commercial lost glory in the state,” he said.

The governorship candidate said the people in the state are no more talking on development, but protection of lives and properties.

Senator Dansadau reiterated his administration’s commitment to provide opportunities to youths and women in the state.

He disclosed that he joined the race to rescue the people of the state as part of responsibilities bestowed on him as a Muslim.

“If we did not do anything as Muslims to save people, we are going to account for it in the hereafter,” he stated.
