2 persons apprehended for killing boy

Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the killing of one Mustapha Abubaka, a 12-year-old boy who was rearing cows at Dong village in Jos North Local Government Area, Plateau State.

The two suspected persons are in the custody of the Rantiya Divisional Police Station.

Commander, Sector Three, Col, Tosin Ayoola, while briefing the Management Committee Chairman of Jos North Local Government Council, Shehu Bala Usman on the development said, a combined security team is working hard to apprehend the remaining suspects.

Col. Ayoola said his team will continue to work closely with the inhabitants to sustain peace in the area.

Reacting to the sad development, the Chairman condemned the killing, which he described as unfortunate.

He said the killing happened when the council is in constant engagement with the  Irigwe, Afizere, Berom and Fulani’s in the communities on the importance of peaceful coexistence

He called on the people of the area to remain calm as security agencies and the Council are on top of the situation to bring the perpetrators to Justice.
